Portraiture: expressive, surreal portraits

These works constitute an evolving practice in which I create a dialogue with myself across time, channelling the surreal and purely aesthetic expressive qualities of my work through the recurrent motif of the human form. Distilled from the more varied symbolology of my other practices, the human form tightens the focus , strips away the extraneous and encourages introspection, using portraiture to explore narrative in a different, more intimate and personal way.
